Over a hundred years ago, Victoria Ward and her husband Curtis Perry Ward, shared a unique business partnership and created an estate extending from Thomas Square to the shore. Their former home, "Old Plantation", is the site of Blaisdell Concert Hall. That’s because Queen Ka`ahumanu Center is Maui’s own Town Square. The island’s premiere shopping and entertainment destination. The home of Maui’s only department stores, Sears and Macy's, plus more than 100 shops and restaurants, from cool island-style boutiques to such national names as Gap, Sharper Image, Foot Locker and Borders Express.

Trolley Square's historic trolley-car barns create a shopping environment like no other. Local merchants and a number of independently-owned shops and restaurants can also be found within the mall perimeter. An eight-screen Consolidated Theatres movie theater is nestled into one corner of the mall. Waialae Bowl, the only bowling center within several miles of the neighborhood, was somewhat interestingly built into a McDonald's, at the corner opposite the movie theater. Unfortunately, it has since closed down (not related to the flood, however.)
The movie theater in this mall was closed in March 2006. It has since reopened. The closing occurred as a result of flooding from heavy rains. The flood broke a hole through the wall of the theater and flowed into the mall, and parts of the ground floor had 3-6 inches of rain water. Many shops suffered substantially; some never reopened. Fashion Outlets of Las Vegas is a 371,000-square-foot shopping mall located in Primm, Nevada, and owned by Primadonna Resorts. Its address is 32100 Las Vegas Boulevard South, just off Interstate 15 at the California state line, some 40 miles (64 km) southwest of Las Vegas. The mall has more than 100 stores and restaurants including Versace, Polo Ralph Lauren Factory Store, and Last Call from Neiman Marcus.
A shuttle bus runs between the mall and Las Vegas.
The mall is divided into two themed courts; The Urban Court and the South Beach Court, and is closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas. The Fashion Outlets are connected to the Primm Valley Resort, and the Ford car in which Bonnie and Clyde were killed is on display between the mall and the resort's casino.
