When Beth Colosimo was growing up in Salt Lake City, Utah, there was always a room or two in her parents’ home where she and her friends were not allowed to go. She remembers going to her Grandma’s home where the lampshades were covered in plastic and the sofas were covered in sheets. Sitting on the furniture or even going in those rooms was almost forbidden. Beth always wondered what the purpose was of furniture that she couldn’t use.
