South Coast Plaza is an upscale shopping mall in Costa Mesa, California, USA, in Orange County, and one of the most notable shopping centers in the United States. Capitola Mall is a shopping mall located in Capitola, California. It is managed and owned by Macerich. The mall sits on the northern edge of the Monterey Bay in Santa Cruz County. Capitola Mall is located on 41st Avenue just off Highway 1 at Capitola Road in Capitola. Capitola Mall opened in 1977, and was renovated and expanded in 1988/89. The mall as of 2007[update] is going through an extensive renovation that has moved the old 10 screen theater to a replacement Cinemark 16 screen "stadium style seating" theater in the north ring road area on Avenue O-8. The vacated theater pad will house new restaurants and a new corridor is being built along it for another 31 stores.
